Eyelid Correction in the Czech Republic

Eyelid Correction -- Blepharoplasty

From as early as the age of 30, sagging eyelids can occur. This makes your gaze appear tired or even unfriendly. A restriction of the visual field may also be possible.

During eyelid corrections in the Czech Republic (blepharoplasty), excess skin, fat, and muscle are removed -- depending on the situation under local anaesthesia or twilight sedation. The necessary incisions are made with a radiofrequency scalpel, which minimises swelling and discolouration. After one week, most patients are fully presentable again.

Tear Troughs & Lower Eyelid Correction

Tear troughs develop when the skin and muscle in the lower eyelid area sag and the fatty tissue of the eye socket bulges forward, or fluid retention (lymph) occurs. If there is no excess skin, an external skin incision can be avoided. In this case, the excess fat is removed through the inside of the eyelid.

Combined Upper and Lower Eyelid Correction

If there is excess skin, an incision is made just below the eyelash line, which typically becomes barely visible after a few weeks. The complete eyelid correction is performed under twilight sedation; it is recommended to stay one night in the clinic. An upper or lower eyelid correction can be performed under local anaesthesia without a hospital stay.

Combination with Facelift

Particularly good results can be achieved when lower eyelid correction is combined with a facelift.
