Endoscopic Technique

Today, a forehead lift is performed exclusively using an endoscopic approach. Through 3-5 small incisions in the scalp, a miniature camera is inserted beneath the forehead skin and into the musculature. Using specialised instruments, the muscles are first modulated, then the tissues are tightened and secured in their new position. The incisions are closed with staples, and a bandage is applied for 2 days.

Healing Process

Following the forehead lift, initial swelling and occasional bruising may occur, particularly around the eye area. These typically subside within a few days. The endoscopic technique enables a particularly gentle treatment with minimal scarring and a natural, long-lasting result.

About the Procedure

Pre-op Preparation

Avoid aspirin and other blood-thinning medications 14 days before surgery. Significantly reduce alcohol consumption and smoking 2-3 weeks before and after the operation, as this can promote wound healing complications.

Anaesthesia

The procedure is performed under twilight sedation -- a gentle form of sedation allowing you to experience the procedure in a relaxed, pain-free state.
