Neck lift in Prague: Preparation, procedure and combination options for a harmoniously rejuvenated appearance

Neck Lift – Necklifting
The neck is one of the first areas where the natural ageing process becomes visible. Sagging skin, excess fatty tissue beneath the chin and a less defined neckline can significantly affect the overall impression of the face – even when the rest of the face still appears firm and youthful.
A neck lift targets precisely those areas where creams and minimally invasive treatments reach their limits. During the procedure, excess fatty tissue beneath the chin is removed and sagging neck skin is tightened. The resulting scar is discreetly positioned beneath the chin and becomes barely visible after healing.
The procedure can be performed either on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia or under general anaesthesia with an overnight stay at the clinic. The most suitable option for you will be discussed individually during your personal consultation.
Combination Options
A neck lift can be excellently combined with other procedures to achieve a harmonious overall result. The necklifting is particularly often performed together with a facelift, brow lift or eyelid correction. During a facelift, the neck area is usually treated simultaneously, ensuring a natural and even result across all facial regions.

About the Procedure

Pre-op Preparation
Avoid aspirin and other blood-thinning medications 14 days before surgery. Significantly reduce alcohol consumption and smoking 2–3 weeks before and after the procedure to minimise potential wound healing complications.

Anaesthesia
The procedure can be performed under general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia.

Hospital Stay
General anaesthesia typically requires one overnight stay. Under local anaesthesia, the procedure is performed on an outpatient basis.

Scarring
Thanks to the targeted incision placement beneath the chin, scars become barely visible after healing.

Aftercare
Following surgery, the neck is wrapped with a compression bandage or fitted with an elastic mask. This compression must be worn for 10 days. Rest is essential during this period, and neck movements should be kept to a minimum.

Social Recovery
After approx. 2 weeks. Light office work is possible from day 5, provided the compression bandage continues to be worn.

Exercise
Physical activity and sports are generally possible again after approx. 3 weeks.

Sun & Solarium
Avoid for 3 months, then use high SPF sun protection.
