The CO2 laser beam, which unlike older laser methods only penetrates the upper and middle skin layers while sparing the subcutaneous tissue, stimulates new collagen formation and thus enables permanent wrinkle removal. During the laser application, the patient perceives only a slight tingling sensation — the treatment is not painful. After the procedure, your face will be cooled, as a mild burning sensation may be felt at the treated area for a few hours. Significant redness of the skin, which may last two to three days, is a possible side effect. In addition, slight swelling around the eyes may occur.

Make-up can be applied again after just one day, while intense and direct sun exposure should be avoided for two to three months. After that, it is recommended to continue protecting the skin by using sunscreen with a high SPF for some time.
